Dr. Richard B. Rubenstein
Dr. Richard Rubenstein has more than 20 years experience in the field of obesity surgery. He is the director of the bariatric surgery program at Suffolk Surgical Group P.C. and Peconic Bay Medical Center, which hold the certification of the Bariatric Center of Excellence.
As a principal investigator during the FDA trials for the Lap-Band and later with the Realize Band, Dr. Rubenstein is internationally known for his expertise in the field of Bariatric Surgery.
Dr. Rubenstein is a member of the Trustees of Peconic Bay Medical Center and is a Board member of the Medical Center Foundation. Dr. Rubenstein was awarded the Physician of the year in 2008 and received a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2011.
